Car recall and vehicle routine scheduled service items tracking simplified

Never miss a recall alert

The national highway traffic and safety administration usually issues hundreds of recall alerts every month, however, many of these recall alerts go by without car owners attention or taking the right measures to rectify them.

Car manufacturers usually send out letter notices through mail, which are easily missed by car owners, especially if you are a new owner to a used vehicle where dealer does not have your updated address. Thanks to Fixsaver for providing mycar feature, to help track recalls and service reminders affecting your vehicle, so you will never miss a recall notification again.

Check for active recalls

1. Assuming you have just purchased a used vehicle or have seen a listing of a used vehicle that you are interested in, you can use this VIN search feature to confirm all the detailed options on the vehicle including year, make, model, and trim level. This also provides the manufacturing details and original color that was used to build the vehicle. This information helps you understand if the car has been maintained in its original form or if any customizations have been performed.

2. Check for active recalls by selecting the vehicle info that you identified from the VIN search in step one. Select vehicle year, make, and model from the drop-down menu in the recall search feature.

3. Schedule an appointment with your service provider if the result of your recall search showed any active recalls affecting your vehicle
